Happy New Year!

We hope you've had a great start to 2010 and are surviving the snow. New things for the new year:

- School Travel Newsletter with lots of up-coming info;

- Small Grant applications: apply for up to £1,000;

- School Travel Plan Review workshops and info;

- Meet Helen Young, former BBC Lead Weather Presenter and climate change expert. Helen has offered more dates for school visits to talk about sustainable travel and environmental sustainability. We will circulate a date sheet but if you are interested please get in touch.

Walk To School Week 2010 

There are a few things coming up, listed in the newsletter. But if you are a primary school please especially take note of Walk To School Week which will be 17th - 21st May: as soon as we have further info we will be in touch.

The Big WoW 2009-10

Don't forget if you would like WoW-related lesson plans on the theme of walking and nature you can still use The Big WoW ones which you'll find here: www.walktoschool.org.uk/bigwow.

You can also still do the Big WoW Collage Competition - deadline 19th March 2010! Prizes are a class trip to Legoland or London Zoo; or £250-worth of art materials. Full details are on page 15 of the Big WoW teaching resource (link above).
